We’ll soon be accepting applications to Documentary Film, are you ready? We’re introducing some of your future teachers here on the blog, please meet:

JARMO JUHA ANTTI VALKOLA
A Professor who shares hints about the unusual by introducing us with touching and influential documentaries in the history of cinema.

1 | ONE THING YOU WANT TO PASS TO STUDENTS
I want the students to learn the visible structure of film and the underlining invisible structure of the cinema.

2 | ONE THING YOU HAVE LEARNED FROM STUDENTS
I have learned pure mindedness, commitment, eagerness, giftedness and helpfulness.

3 | YOUR OWN MOST IMPORTANT TEACHER
London-based professor Raymond Durgnat. He gave me a lot of inspiration. He gave me also this idea that when you do something you are personally involved. Totally. Many others as well.
